Meet The Team: Q&A
Anthony Locascio
Q: What's your role on the team?
A: I'm a photographer and I also write the Cool Stuff Blog posts. I'm super stoked to have a platform to share some cool stuff with all of you!
Q: Who are some of your favorite bands?
A: The answer to this question probably changes once a month, but right now it's Title Fight, Jawbreaker, and Braid.
Q: What band(s) got you into the scene?
A: I'm pretty heavily involved in two scenes, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, so this question has two answers for me. I got into the Santa Barbara scene through Uncle, and they were the first band that I ever did consistent photo work for. I got into the LA scene through shooting for Road Trip after randomly walking into one of their shows in Isla Vista and getting connected with them through a mutual friend.
Q: Favorite show in the scene that you’ve been to?
A: I have a lot of favorites, but Road Trip at Nightingale Studios in Burbank is one that always comes to mind. This show was probably one of the most fun shows I've ever been to period, let alone in the scene. I took one of my best photos ever at it, and this is also the show I met Crowdsurf Matt at.
Q: Best spot for post-show eats?
A: I'm partial to Mexican food after shows, specifically Angel's Tacos, Taco Zone, and Freebirds, but In-N-Out and Raising Canes are post-show staples for me too.
Q: Do you play an instrument?
A: Yes! I play bass in a band called Acekid!
RANDY SANTOS
Q: What's your role on the team?
A: My role in Cool Stuff Media is as a videographer. I am the one who films bands, interviews, pre and post show activities, and anything else I find interesting and cool.
Q: Top 3 favorite bands?
A: 1. Turnstile. Not a single bad album. Never Enough and Glow On give me mad summer 2025 nostalgia. 2. Title Fight. I just recently got into them and I love them. Floral Green is honestly a 10 out of 10 album and I love it so much. 3. Road Trip. What more needs to be said? They NEVER disappoint when it comes to live shows.
Q: What band(s) got you into the scene?
A: Field Daze, Diamond Riot, and Road Trip. Diamond Riot was the first band I filmed, Field Daze was the second, and Road Trip opened me up to more bands like One Outta Ten, Willflower, and Willowake
Q: Favorite show in the scene that you’ve been to?
A: Field Daze Mosh and Cry release show. That show changed my life in so many ways. I met a lot of new friends and had a great time. Will never forget it. We love you Field Daze!
Q: Best spot for post-show eats?
A: It depends on my mood that night, but my main eats are In-N-Out, McDonalds, Tom’s Jr., or just a slurpee from 7/11. Can never go wrong with any of these.
Q: Do you play an instrument?
A: Sure do! I have been playing drums for around three and a half years.
Crowdsurf Matt
Q: What's your role on the team?
A: Hi I'm Crowdsurf Matt the interviewer! I'll be the host for all interviews and some pre/post show activities!
Q: Who are some of your favorite bands?
A: My top bands would probably be Sublime, The Ramones, Green Day, Dead Kennedys, The Queers, and X. But it always changes.
Q: What band(s) got you into the scene?
A: The first bands that got me in the scene were Bluedive and Road Trip. I played a show with Bluedive before knowing anything about the scene. On their Instagram, I noticed they had just played with a band called Road Trip, and I found them through that.
Q: Favorite show in the scene that you’ve been to?
A: After following Road Trip’s Instagram for a bit, they eventually posted about a show they were playing at Nightingale Studios in Burbank. That show changed my life. My first stage dive was at that show & I met a ton of cool people!
Q: Best spot for post-show eats?
A: Anthony and I love to go to a spot in Silver Lake called Taco Zone! Amazing tacos!!! But hey, you can never go wrong with In-N-Out.
Q: Do you play an instrument?
A:Yes, I play guitar and sing in a band called Fido!
Sabrina Milora
Q: What's your role on the team?
A: I’m the media manager! I’m basically in charge of keeping the content fun and engaging, and helping the team out whenever they need someone to organize or pull ideas together. Basically, to keep your eyes updated with what's going on!
Q: Who are some of your favorite bands?
A: This is by far the hardest question! It’s simply always changing. Different artists hit different moods and hobbies for me. But I love Radiohead, M83, Aurora, The Maria’s. All sorts of jazz. For dance I love Woodkid and Ten Walls. And I was raised on The Beatles, Moby, Depeche Mode, and a bunch of other goodies across way too many genres to boil down. I love it all!
Q: What band(s) got you into the scene?
A: I joined the scene back when it was heavily happening at Sound Studios. I randomly became mutuals with people going to shows, always seeing it on their Instagram and thinking it looked really rad and fun. Persona non grata, aka Finn, invited me to his Magical Circus show, and it was the first time I went to a show and was introduced to an environment where kids were in control and completely free—and the rest is history. Now going to shows and hosting them feels like home, and the people I’ve met and the stories I’ve made along the way are priceless.
Q: Favorite show in the scene that you’ve been to?
A: Every show is wild in its own way, and honestly so many are special to me holding places close to my heart—like the first time I crowd-surfed or ended up jumping into a pool fully clothed. But if I had to pick, I’d say Road Trip in Isla Vista. The energy was just insane. With circling mosh pits in the dirt, stage diving everywhere you turned, and just a good-ass time. Supporting your friends on stage and singing with them is always a good feeling. We left covered in dust with scratched knees, sore necks, dead voices, and some of the best memories.
Q: Best spot for post-show eats?
A: In-N-Out will forever be the classic go-to, and nothing is more satisfying to a hungry tummy after a wonderful night of line kicks and dancing. That, or a nice overpriced meal at a diner.
Q: Do you play an instrument?
A: I mostly play guitar and piano, and I used to play violin. Now I'm starting the rough start of learning drums. :)
