Photo SUBMISSIONS

Cool Stuff Media is a community-driven project, and part of that means providing a platform for people to share their creative output. We LOVE featuring work from photographers outside of our core media team. There is some information regarding when/how to apply, as well as few steps you need to take in order to work with us. Read through the FAQs below to learn how to submit your photos and for more general info. After you’re done, scroll down and send in your application!

    • We’re looking for passionate music photographers with styles that align with Cool Stuff Media’s creative vision.

    • We prefer photographers with experience and sizable portfolios. We also prefer people who are familiar with our platform.

    • Most importantly, we’re looking for people who work well with others, as someone else on our team may be shooting a show along with you.

    • To apply, fill out the form below this menu. After you’re done, send us a DM on Instagram (@coolstuffmedia) letting us know the name and email address you applied with.

    • We schedule what shows we shoot pretty well in advance and we recommend sending in your application as soon as possible.

    • We’ll put up an Instagram story letting everyone know that we’re looking for photographers ahead to shoot it ahead of time. Follow our Instagram (@coolstuffmedia) so you don’t miss when this happens! There will be a link to this page on the story so you can submit your application.

    • If you don’t get a chance to submit before a show happens, don’t worry! We will take submissions for around 2 days following the show.

    • We will reach out to you through Instagram DMs to let you know if we want to feature your work.

    • We only feature ONE other photographer’s photos per gallery, so don’t feel discouraged if we don’t get back to you. Make sure to apply ASAP!

    • We want to engage with as many different photographers as we can, so we may not choose you to be featured if you have been recently.

    • Your photos will be featured on the site’s Show Gallery pages and on our social media profiles (with your approval).

    • You will of course be credited for your work, with your own separate section of the Show Gallery dedicated to you!

    • If we feature your photos in an Instagram post, we will tag and invite you to collaborate on it.

    • We unfortunately cannot get you onto guest lists, as this decision is made by performers and venues.

    • This submission system is for photographers who are already planning on attending shows/in contact with performers or venues and want to be featured by us.

    • If you do want to get onto guest lists, we suggest contacting the performers and/or venues.
